November 2008
Typically November is the month when we focus on reasons to be thankful.

Those of us at KIAM in Nenana were blessed recently by an opportunity to spend an evening of fellowship with a couple who lives in the Alaska bush on the Cosna River. They regularly listen to our radio station and quite often send or receive Mukluk Messages. Hearing that Lyman and Carol Vincent would be in town and wanted to spend time with us, we organized a potluck "waffle night" with fruit, bacon and sausage as side dishes. None of us really knew this couple other than talking with them on the phone so this was a great opportunity to get acquainted.

After dinner Lyman shared how Christian radio was a major factor in his personal salvation story. Understanding that Satan will fight to keep his territory when it is invaded by the Gospel and target God’s servants, Lyman encouraged us to stand firm and keep up the good fight as there are those, like himself, who listen and the Lord uses Christian radio to reach many hearts for His kingdom.

Next the instruments came out and there was a great time of praising the Lord through music. We thank and praise the Lord for sending these now dear friends to lift our spirits and remind us that the Lord never promised us an easy road but He did promise to be with us in the good times as well as the hard times.

"Therefore, encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing." I Thessalonians 5:11
