November 2009
VFCM Board members met on November 2 and 3 at KAGV in Houston/Big Lake, Alaska. The board and
staff members who attended were encouraged and had a good time of fellowship. Our income is
still below the expenses necessary to run the ministry. We are grateful for your financial
gifts and for your prayers.
Here is a recent blessing as related by Rick Migra from KIAM:
I want to tell you about a conversation I had while taking a Mukluk. [The caller] wanted us to
know that he prays for us every day. He also told me how much the radio station means to him and
his family. He enjoys our music more than any other Christian radio station in the area, and
also our programming. He also said something that was very humbling to me. He told me that they
didn't have much money, but if it ever came down to it that we would have to close down because
of lack of funds, that if we would let him know, he would be willing to stand on the street
corners of Fairbanks to raise enough money to keep the station on the air. For some reason, that
really hit me, that our ministry means that much to one family. Having heard from him how much
it means, I asked myself the question how much more does our ministry touch the lives of others
around the state of Alaska that we may never hear about? God speaks to us in many different ways!
