May 2013

The first Translator Team maintenance flight flew to the village of Tanana on Friday, April 26.  Three members re-established a key relationship in the village and performed required maintenance, but had to return home due to poor weather.  There are now 16 translators remaining to be visited across our vast state.

As partners with us, I ask that you take a moment to pray for those who fly, maintain and evangelize while in the villages where our translators are located.  May God be glorified as His people and His word go forth!

Psalm 119:33   “Teach me, O LORD, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end.”

April 2013

March has been a month of opportunity for VFCM Staff and Volunteers to be able to learn and to grow.  Some attended John MacArthur’s Shepherd’s Conference, one attended the National Religious Broadcasters Convention, and our radio Translator Team received electronics training to be able to troubleshoot and repair equipment that is used in our ministry to specifically broadcast the gospel into remote, Alaskan villages. Thank you, dear partners, for sharing with us the importance of communicating the gospel message through this ministry.   Spread His fame today.

Matthew 9:31  “But they went away and spread his fame through all that district.”

March 2013

We are so thankful for your prayers and financial support at this time of year.  Presently, we are focused on building a solid team that can go forth into the villages where our radio translators are located.  Once there, the team will build relationships, share the gospel, encourage believers, and perform needed radio maintenance and repairs to keep Christian Radio on the air 24/7.  Please pray for the hearts of those who do not yet know Jesus as their Saviour and for the pilots and others who will partner with us.

“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.”  Luke2:14

February 2013

Thank you for your prayers and financial support.  A dog musher atop a mountain, cell-phoned Dee Eldridge recently and requested a Mukluk Message.  He wanted to communicate through KIAM radio that he was alive and well, but that he would be returning home very late at night with his dog team.  His message reached our listeners, demonstrating the effectiveness of radio in Alaska.  Radio is a powerful tool that our Lord uses in many ways.  Thank you for partnering with us this year!

Lamentations 3:22-23, “It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.  They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”

January 2013

As I reflect on the year 2012 I am mindful of the tragic and sudden loss of lives in our own country and of the many souls eternally separated from the love of Christ.  Yet, we know that many have also been saved through the efforts of faithful servants who are willing to proclaim His truth day and night.

We are so grateful for your participation with us, to broadcast the soul-saving message of Jesus Christ to those who have never read a bible, or attended a church where the gospel message is preached.  What a privilege to encourage the faith of believers and to help equip them to give an answer for the hope that is within them (I Peter 3:15).

“In God have I put my trust:  I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.”  Psalm 56:11
